Battlehub

Formerly known as AFLobby, battlehub was a java game lobby project I mothballed in 2009.

Battlehub or AFLobby, was started because the official client of the time (tasclient), was buggy, slow, and only ran under windows. Many users complained about it, and I had ideas of my own.

During Battlehubs lifetime, I implemented numerous new features which have either been copied by other spring lobby client or remain unique still, including:

  • Smileys in chat
  • Visual channel join lists
  • Wizard based game setups
  • Draggable translucent starting boxes
  • Multiple engine support ( Battlehub supported glest and OTA when it was mothballed )
  • Theme support
  • Unicode support
