A stylish set of desktop wallpapers at 1680×1050!!! Get them here!
I was in the apple store in Liverpool with a friend and pulled up the spring site when a friend spotted a picture he liked. So we put it up as the desktop wallpaper, and I thought, ‘we could do so much better’. The picture in question was the news item for 0.77b2 release, and while its a good picture, it doesn’t exactly scream spring engine! to those not in the know.
So today I created these. Next time I’m in the apple store I’ll have a good looking desktop wallpaper with web address and project name to put on the macbooks!
These wallpapers come in 2 versions, with and without scan lines. I know the spring engine logo is in the middle and quite imposing, but I intend pack n#2 to have a smaller logo in the bottom left corner. I’ll also eventually build a mini-website called ‘stamper’ that auto stamps images with the spring logo and the encessary styling to recreate these wallpapers, as well as host the images etc. A version for people with square/4:3 sized monitors/screen resolutions such as 1024×768 will be available soon too.
If you in the meantime are a content developer and have images you wish to be used then please drop a line! High quality images would be needed for contributions ( think very large size images!). I’d also like a TA image thats particularly iconic, preferably something involving a commander up close (Mr.Ds core commander or the XTA arm commander, the originals used in BA and OTA aren’t detailed enough).
As per usual these are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 UK: England & Wales licence just like the original logo.

Have you ever considered adding more videos to your blog posts to keep the readers more entertained? I mean I just read through the entire article of yours and it was quite good but since I’m more of a visual learner,I found that to be more helpful well let me know how it turns out. This is good…thanks for sharing
Not really applicable in this case, but a worthy note (admin hammer ftw)
