Lately I’ve needed a break or two, and Ive done many things, such as the front page re-layout of this site, but I saw a thread on smoths forums by foreboding angel about mecha designs. So I got drawing ^_^
In solution number 1 I set out a modular system that would require the involvement of content developers, but would provide a meaningful structured way for AIs and content to coexist in a lua world. Now I’m about to throw that out the window by presenting solution number 2.

For a few hours now, the spring website has been down. Attempts to connect are met with network timeout errors. Users can join a temporary lobby server at springlobby.info:8200 running under aegis’ new uberserver. You can find smoths FGJL forums on the links page.
There is an issue in the spring AI scene right now regarding the onslaught of lua Game mechanics and the disconnect between those new rules and the AIs. AIs are unable to play the new game mechanics because they are unaware of their existence.
When I said in my last blogpost that I could imagine the new logo on t-shirts mugs and bumper stickers, I wasn’t kidding!
They have arrived, 33MB of Photoshop and PNG images, spring engine banners, icons, all in higher quality renders, crisper sunbursts, and cleaner lines.
